In Bengaluru alone, 15,000 users have completed over 100 rides across 1300 companies, he said.Bengaluru: Over 200 people who have opted for carpooling got together in the city for the first-ever carpool awards function organised by Quick Ride, a carpool aggregator company, on Saturday.

Quick Ride claimed over 9 lakh registered users on its platform and over 8.7 million rides."Along with providing an easier, faster and more social way of travelling, the company has helped to reduce over 20,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide," team Quick Ride stated.Based at Marathahalli Ring Road, it was founded in 2014 by K.N.M. Rao. During the event, Mr Rao said, "It is our goal to remove over 30% of vehicles on the streets of Bengaluru to help reduce traffic and make the city liveable for everyone."
