4.5k people raise awareness about skin donation Bengaluru: About 4,500 people walked for the cause of skin donation on Sunday. The walkathon was aimed at sensitising the public about the ordeal and challenges that burn survivors face. Many participants also took the skin donation pledge to help survivors. The event was ev organised by Rotary Midtown Bangalore in association with Prestige Group, Ashirvad Pipes and Bagmane Group. Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor, flagged off the event from St Josephs Indian High School. In Imdia, around 70 lakh people suffer from burn injuriesandittakes years for them to overcome the physical, mental and emotional trauma. Such initiative helps im giving them a second chance by providing them a normal life, Agarwal said. TNN
